Painted Treasures by Tracy

So I've come to the conclusion that it may take me a while to get used to this "blogging" thing. I keep a journal on my computer that I utilize for private purposes, and besides that I've gotten out of the habit of publishing online. But perhaps it's time I dabble a bit into it.

I guess I'll start off by giving you a little information about me. I'm a twenty-something living in Kentucky working at a non-profit agency. I grew up an Air Force brat, so I have no answer to that oh-so-frequent question, "Where are you from?" I love to travel and dream of going to France one day. My passion is in art. I love everything about art - reading about it, looking at it for hours and hours, and (of course) producing my own art.

Only recently have I become confident enough to begin posting pictures of my work online, and the response has been better than I ever would've thought. If you don't know already, I'm my own worst critic. If it's not perfect (and it never is), then it's not good enough. So I'm constantly pointing out the imperfections, which is ironic because I know art is never perfect.

Some of it's new, some of it's old. My favorites include the wine glasses, the baby memory box, the flower and sports wall pegs, and the "Alivia" wall letters.

I'm always looking for new ideas, constructive criticism, and people to chat with about art. I find Kentucky to be a culture more focused on barbeque and horses than art, so I may have to broaden my horizons to accomplish this. I'm hoping this blog may be the start of that.
